Not for use in pregnancy. The white film on the berry is a waxy bloom which is a natural protective layer found on many fruits and vegetables, including grapes, plums, and blueberries. This bloom helps to protect the fruit from the elements and dehydration. It's a normal characteristic of blackthorn berries and doesn't indicate spoilage or toxicity.
