有別於市面上常見嘅平價肉桂cassia,cinnamon honey以USDA organic + Fair Trade認證原條錫蘭肉桂製作,係最健康、孕婦可安心食用及能被長期食用嘅品種。
錫蘭肉桂🪵又名真肉桂,所含嘅香豆素比cassia低十幾至數十倍不等 - 香豆素係一種對肝臟有害嘅成份,雖然一般食用嘅攝取量唔會對身體有明顯嘅害處,如果長期食用及懷孕期間,安全起見會建議揀返錫蘭肉桂。
錫蘭肉桂具有抗炎抗菌特性,並能促進身體循環,傳統上被用作治療上呼吸道感染及腸胃不適。錫蘭肉桂亦具有抗氧化及降血糖作用,有助中和自由基,保護身體免受細胞損害,穩定血糖及血壓,改善認知及記憶,有助減低糖尿病、癌症、心臟病、老人癡呆症等風險。對於經血過多,錫蘭肉桂亦具有收斂作用。
Cinnamon honey好味得嚟又有助應對感冒及流感季節,肉桂控不能錯過。 非常建議將錫蘭肉桂原蜜加入暖牛奶/咖啡/pancake,冬天非常合適,記得牛奶/水都唔好太熱,否則會破壞有機原生蜜嘅營養。

A delicious way to support cold & flu season, ceylon cinnamon honey is made with USDA organic + Fair Trade ceylon cinnamon sticks. Unlike the cassia species that is more popular and affordable in the market, ceylon cinnamon has shown the most clinical promise among other species in terms of medicinal benefits, safe to consume during pregnancy and can be used long-term.
Ceylon Cinnamon🪵, aka true cinnamon, contains a much lower concentration of coumarin than the cassia (1x - xx times lower) - coumarin is a chemical compound that is harmful to our liver. While low and short term consumption of coumarin would normally not impact our health, it’s always safer to consume ceylon cinnamon, particularly for long term use or during pregnancy.
As a circulatory stimulant that has carminative and antimicrobial properties, ceylon cinnamon is traditionally used to treat colds and flu, and digestive problems. As a strong antioxidant and a hypoglycemic, it may protect our body from oxidative damage by neutralizing free radicals, stabilise blood sugar levels and blood pressure, improve cognitive function, which may lower the risk of diabetes, cancer, heart disease and Alzheimer’s disease. Its astringent action may also ease excess menstrual blood flow.
I highly recommend adding ceylon cinnamon honey to warm milk as a latte, pancakes or waffles, or consuming it directly, which is perfect for winter. Make sure the water is not too hot - high temperatures can degrade the enzymes, minerals and vitamins in raw honey. 🧡❄️
